i’m sitting in the anchor office trying to work on research but all i want to do is clean it. it looks like people haven’t moved things since they moved into this office in 2005. welp, it’s mine now and i’ll be a-cleaning it in july/august when research is over. but for now i will welcome the distraction from reading about early hollanders.
holland was/is such an interesting town to read about. it has such a fascinating history, unlike warren. i think i’ll be an expert by the end of this project. too much reading!
can someone please remind me why in the world i chose to study in washington dc for a semester when i could have gone to europe? anyone?
why would i choose to haggle with politicians in the most politically charged place on the planet when i could have enjoyed a semester amongst beautiful architecture, interesting places and historic landmarks?
WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??????

There are so many reasons why I love Kurt Vonnegut.
yeahwriters:
- Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted.
- Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for.
- Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water.

The Road
I’m sorry for neglecting this blog. I’ve been posting on my study abroad blog quite frequently and don’t go on tumblr much anymore. When I do, I remember how awesome it is and how I should have done my blog here rather than wordpress. However, I wanted to try out a different platform just to see.
Things have been busy. I’m doing alright. Things could be better, I suppose. It’s about that time of the semester where I get antsy, restless. I just feel like it’s time to get a move on. I probably wouldn’t feel this way if I didn’t have to go to “class” or wonder what’s going on back at Hope.
Either way, I have three more weeks left and they’re going to fly. This semester went by so quickly. It’s bittersweet. Mostly sweet. Sweet because I can’t handle people anymore. Bitter because I don’t have homework everyday. The work ends. It won’t next semester.
I’m looking forward to being a college student again. I like it and I miss it.
